London, the capital city of England, is a popular tourist destination no matter the time of year. With its mild climate, abundance of activities and historical significance, London is a fabulous place to spend a holiday. The currency in London is the pound (£) so be sure to check out the current exchange rates before you visit. While on your London holidays, there are several must-sees:

London Eye

The London Eye is the tallest Ferris Wheel in Europe. One revolution (or ride) of the wheel takes approximately 30 minutes and provides breathtaking views of the city.

Buckingham Palace

The sometimes home to the Royal Family, Buckingham Palace is an amazing sight to behold. Be sure to watch the changing of the guard at 11am.

Covent Garden

Covent Garden is an open air shopping and dining area, popular among tourists and locals alike.

Jack the Ripper Tour

Anyone interested in criminology or the mystery surrounding Jack will love one of these tours of the old Whitechapel district. Visitors will see where Jack’s victims lived and died and visit a pub thought to have been visited by the killer himself.

Ride on the Themes

A ride down the Themes River is both relaxing and informative. A tour guide will give you the history of the area while pointing out sights along the river banks.

Red Bus Tour

Even if you know London well, the Red Bus Tours are great fun. Learn about the city and see its most famous sites from the comfort of a double-decker.
